The Tortoise and the Hare
A Hare was making fun of the Tortoise one day for being so slow. "Do you ever get anywhere?" he asked with a mocking laugh.
"Yes," replied the Tortoise, "and I get there sooner than you think." The Hare laughed loudly and agreed to a race.
Sure of winning, the Hare lay down by the road to take a nap. The Tortoise walked on, slow and steady, and crossed the line first.

A reading app a parent actually likes.
Pageling started as a side project for one family — a Serbian dad, an English-speaking kid, a pile of children's books. Everything you'd want, nothing you wouldn't.
No streaks, no shame
Reading is the reward. We don't ping you, we don't guilt-trip your kid into a 47-day streak.
Curated, ad-free
Public-domain classics, hand-picked. No dark patterns, no gem economies, no in-app store yelling at you.
Made for the couch
Installs as an app on phone or tablet. Works offline. Big tap targets, small fingers welcome.
Parent dashboard
See what your kid read this week, the words they tapped, and the ones still tricky — without making it a homework chart.
